Office building in Selsingen, 2025
A modern two-story office building is being printed in Selsingen. It is the first 3D-printed building in Northern Germany and is being independently constructed by our client MATTHÄI.
Matthäi is using our holistic, all-in-one solution as a rental project. This is a so-called rental project, in which the technology is made available for a limited period of time. After a brief training session on the machine, the new two-story headquarters will be built directly by a small team from Matthäi Turnkey Construction. Only a supervisor from PERI 3D Construction will be on-site to provide support with technical questions.
The printing time alone is estimated at approximately 105 hours. The building is expected to be completed and ready for occupancy by the end of the year.

IMPRESSIONS OF THE PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
Big building. Big goals.

Big on ideas. Big on construction.
An office building with impressive dimensions is being built in Selsingen: 7.40 meters high, 22.50 meters long and 13.50 meters deep – spread over two floors.
Technology that sets standards.
Printing is done with the COBOD BOD2 – a gantry printer in an impressive configuration measuring 24 meters long, 15 meters wide and 9 meters high.

Self-built – with 3D printing.
What's special about this project: Our partner received intensive training directly from us in Weißenhorn and is now independently constructing the two-story building using 3D printing. Only a supervisor from PERI 3D Construction is on site to provide support.
Impressions from the construction site
This is how a pioneering building is created – layer by layer. A total of 105 hours of pure printing time demonstrate how quickly and efficiently large-scale construction is possible today with 3D printing.

Requirements and solutions
Requirements
One of the biggest challenges of the project was the ambitious schedule. Matthäi Schlüsselfertigbau approached us just a few months before printing began to discuss the possibilities for their first project. Since the new office building for the turnkey builders was scheduled for completion by the end of the year, no time could be wasted. In addition, the Matthäi Schlüsselfertigbau employees had no experience with 3D building printing and needed to be trained in operating the printer beforehand.
Solutions
The experienced planning firm Mense-Korte, together with the architectural firm Schulenburg, delivered a building design that impressed with both its distinctive architecture and its excellent printability. The joint planning resulted in a tight construction schedule that envisioned printing in just 105 printing hours over a period of just a few months. To further save time, part of the training for employees was conducted at our headquarters in Weißenhorn, while another part was conducted directly on site at the start of the project. This allowed operators to learn how to operate the system under realistic on-site conditions.
Customer benefit
This project demonstrates how 3D printing can be integrated as a scalable tool in the construction industry. The combination of a complete solution, training, and support enables cost-effective and future-oriented implementation – regardless of location. For Matthäi, this means an office building that makes a strong statement and represents a major step toward the construction industry of the future.
