ViliaSprint2: 3D-printed apartment building in France
A new 3D printing project is being developed: With ViliaSprint2, we are implementing an innovative project that compares the possibilities of 3D construction printing with traditional construction methods. In collaboration with PLURIAL NOVILIA, HOBO, HOLCIM FRANCE, and PERI 3D Construction, a three-story apartment building with twelve residential units is being constructed using 3D printing – parallel to an identical building constructed using conventional methods. Europe's largest 3D-printed building is completed
With approximately 170 hours of pure printing time, the facade of the "Server Hotel" in Heidelberg was completed after just a few months. The interior work has now also been finalized, so that the tenant, Heidelberg IT, can move in on time at the end of January 2024. At the official handover of the keys, the building will also receive its final name and will be known as Wavehouse from today. We would like to thank all project partners involved for their outstanding cooperation and are delighted to now be able to admire the organic forms of the Wavehouse without scaffolding.
