Live 3D-Printing Event with PERI 3D Construction

At the beginning of December, PERI 3D Construction invited interested people from the construction industry to a live printing event in Weissenhorn, Germany, to learn more about the potentials of the technology. The event was in high demand and completely booked out after just a few days. Over the course of the day, we greeted almost 70 visitors in three groups at the PERI campus.

After a short session of introductions, the visitors went straight to the printing hall. Here, they were able to experience live how COBOD's BOD2 built various structures layer by layer. In addition to Dr. Fabian Meyer-Brötz, the Managing Director of PERI 3D Construction GmbH as well as other colleagues, architect Lothar Steinhoff was also available to answer questions. The architect has already planned several projects for the coming year using the BOD2 3D printer.

After the live print, the groups headed to Wallenhausen to visit the largest printed multi-family house in Europe. Here, it was possible to experience what it feels like to stand in a fully realized and already inhabited house built by a 3D printer. Here, too, numerous questions were answered, and lively discussions were held.

We would like to thank everyone who participated in the event and are very pleased about the positive feedback we received. The event has shown us again how great the interest in the technology is. Therefore, we will organize further live printing events in the near future.

If you missed the event, but would really like to be part of it next time, feel free to email us at info@peri3dconstruction.com and be one of the first to get invited to the next event.

A special thanks to Heidelberg Materials, who accompanied our printing event and provided us with the printing material.
